My name is Lars Anker - Møller, I would like to welcome you to my homepage, which will hopefully inspire you to the voyage of your dreams in Eastern Greenland.
Eastern Greenland is one of the few places in Greenland, where you can still experience 'the real Greenland'. The culture is still very strong here, where life is lived on nature's terms.
Hunting is still the main business even as global warming affects life here more than anywhere else in the world.
The possibilities are endless, including hiking - climbing - kajaking - fishing - hunting - dogslegding - skiing - heliskiing - or just enjoy the daily life in the settlement. Eastern Greenland is perfect for photography or painting of culture, nature and animals.
I came here in 2001 as sales manager for the Greenlandic stamps in Tasiilaq.
In 2004 I became licensed hunter and from then on had to live of the fish and seals that I could sell.
While hunting I had more than enough time to familiarize myself with the life and traditions of the hunters. This led to the photobook three years later, which was named 'Fangerne i Ammassalik'.
In 2007 I invested in the tourist boat 'Nuna', which became the start of a tourist project that also involve the licensed hunters in Ammassalik, who help with logistics winter and summer.
Currently we colaborate with a number of international traveling agencies from Denmark - Germany - Austria - Great Britain and Norway. We are used for support with boats and dogsledges.
